Hello! Thank you for checking out this guide. This guide is directed toward international Monbebe with the goal of having as much information to help support Monsta X in one place (or being easily linked to the info). Please note that whenever I mention day, it is based on Korean time, so please use a time zone converter to know what time that is for you. ‘One of a Kind’ Mini Album & “Gambler” is here!!

Please remember to stream on both the Starship TV (SSTV) channel as well as the 1theK channel since both count for music shows! Please get a Korean streaming pass if you have not already, ideally with at least one download for Gambler (Genie is probably the easiest since you can use the website on the computer to stream and don’t need to download anything. See Streaming page for details).

Daily To-Do List

  • Visit Monsta X’s Wikipedia page and stay for at least one minute

  • React to Naver / Daum Articles (see Socials page for more info)

  • Interact with all social media posts, always tag MX in your posts and pictures

  • Collect votes in voting apps (see Voting page for more info)

  • Stream, especially if during a comeback, but outside of comeback helps too (see Streaming page for more info). I recommend still streaming Love Killa along with other MVs and projects.

  • Give hearts on fancafe every hour

Voting

This page contains information about apps used for voting in music shows (as well as other publicity opportunities). For these apps, you should not use a VPN (since some apps block ads if you use one) and should turn off Limit Ad Tracking (under phone Settings-> Privacy-> Advertising). Please note that everything listed is based on Korean time, including when each day starts, so use a Time Zone Converter to know what time it is for you. All of these apps (except Melon Aztalk) can be downloaded in the regular App Store.

Idol Champ

Idol Champ has a one account per device rule and will not work with emulators. Additionally, since July 2020, it has a new accounts rule. In order to be able to fully vote, all new accounts must contribute to the daily chart for five days (contributions can be small and the days do not have to be consecutive). You will not be able to vote fully, post comments, and many other things until you complete this. This also must be done within 100 days of creating the account or it will reset. Be sure to do this before considering collect chamsims (also referred to as hearts).

Chamsims are the main currency for this app. There are Ruby Chamsims (❤️) and Time (blue/green) Chamsims (💙). Red does not expire. Blue expires at the end of every month, so be careful. Polls usually will let you use both. Rarely, polls will only allow ❤️ to be used. Some polls will cost nothing. There are also Star Chamsims (⭐️) that are used for stargiving during comebacks. Stargiving is a big promotion event that gets the MV played on a lot of screens, so stars are good to save up until then. Check out the banner on the community tab to help keep track of important polls.

Show Champion

Show Champion runs Wednesdays at 6:00pm KST and uses Idol Champ for its pre-voting. When a vote is open, you can vote three times a day for 9 ❤️/💙 total. This is important for winning as the pre-vote is worth 20% of the criteria. So please look out for it during comebacks.

Mubeat

Mubeat does not have a device or an account rule as far as I know, so there is not an issue with having multiple accounts. It uses Heart Beats for voting. Heart Beats cannot be bought and Star Beats (which can be bought) cannot be used for voting and cannot be converted to Heart Beats. So be sure to try to collect Heart Beats daily by watching ads (15 ads a day for 3 Heart Beats each) and by completing missions. Mubeat voting is done in the Voting tab under Mubeat (the third option at the top under the Voting tab, see last Mubeat picture for reference).

Heart Beats expire after 90 days. You can check and see if they are going to expire by going to your profile and clicking on the grey box with the total Beats. Star Beats don’t expire and are used to ad projects but are not used for voting. Additionally, Heart Beats will also be used for ads and will be used first. Therefore, you do not need to buy Star Beats unless you want to help with an ad and are out of Heart Beats.

Show! Music Core

Show! Music Core runs Saturdays at 3:30pm KST and uses Mubeat for its pre-voting (opens four days before the broadcast and lasts until one day before the broadcast). You can see other Mubeat voting under “Mubeat” (see above picture) while Show! Music Core is under its own section and is the first to open when you open the voting tab. The pre-vote is unlimited and uses only Heart Beats. The pre-vote is worth 10% of the total score.

Gaon Chart Music Awards

Gaon Chart Music Awards voting is done through Mubeat. Ticket collection will start a bit before the voting. You can collect 15 votes per day per account (1 ad = 1 voting ticket). You can watch 5 ads an hour (15 total a day) and can have multiple accounts. However, there is a 50 ad limit per device per day for collecting Gaon votes (this does not affect collecting heart beats). To collect, click on the top banner when you open the app (that says Mubeat Global Choice Awards). The click on Watch Video Ads (see picture above for details). Voting for Round 1 (in 2020) starts December 7th and Round 2 is December 14th. The Final Round starts December 28th with the awards ceremony being on January 13, 2021.
